We are writing to reach out and provide an update now that we have been open and running safely for a little over a month. We continue to take the utmost precaution and concern with regard to safety and cleanliness in order to protect you, ourselves, and the community at large. Below is a list and explanation of some of our recent safety enhancements.
1.) Drs. Cahn and Guzik are wearing at least N95 masks (this is state health mandated) and even N99/hepa filter masks. As you can see from the photo, they look a bit imposing and can interfere mildly with communication but we promise they are always smiling under there. They are also wearing medical scrubs in order to change before leaving so they are as clean as possible when they get home to their families.
2.) Drs. Cahn and Guzik are wearing nitrile gloves (latex free) all day as we engage with our patients and contact any surfaces within the office. We are sanitizing with greater than 70% alcohol and medical-grade disinfectants
3.) We are still booking longer appointment times to accommodate a thorough disinfectant cleaning between each and every patient. This may somewhat limit the availability of time slots but it is important to have everything as clean as possible.
4.) We are running UV-C Hepa air filters in the treatment rooms as well as in the lobby during business hours.
5.) We are pleased to introduce you to the newest member of our staff, Medusa. Medusa is a multiheaded-virus-destroying UV-C lamp. Studies have shown that certain viruses and bacteria are susceptible to being destroyed by this specific wavelength of light. This lamp allows us to clean the treatment table and equipment 1-2 times daily in addition to our other topical cleansers.
We are complying with and or exceeding guidelines from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and our goal is to be able to offer compassionate treatments in the safest environment possible. These are strange times for all of us, but we need to be aware and vigilant to maintain the health and safety of ourselves and all of our patients.
