Meet Dr. Marc Cahn, DC

Like so many of his patients, Dr. Cahn enjoys a very active lifestyle. When he’s not seeing patients or spending time with his family, he can often be found at the RallySport Club where he enjoys biking and staying fit.

Dr. Cahn is a proud graduate of the University of Colorado with a degree in biology. He went on to chiropractic college and graduated from Palmer College West, Magna Cum Laude and class valedictorian. A life-long learner, Dr. Cahn has taken a three-year program in chiropractic orthopedics followed by a three-year rehabilitative exercise program. Dr. Cahn is also a certified acupuncturist in biomedical acupuncture and dry-needling.

Because every patient is unique, Dr. Cahn utilizes a variety of techniques so that you can get back doing the activities you love as quickly as possible while also teaching you how to avoid reoccurrences so that you don’t end up back in his office. In the treatment of acute and chronic problems, Dr. Cahn may use manual chiropractic treatments, low force adjustments, decompression traction, physical therapy modalities, acupuncture, soft tissue techniques, dry-needling, and other modalities as appropriate to return the patient to full function as quickly as possible.

Dr. Cahn Once Saved a Patient's Life...

Is it possible that good chiropractic care can save your life? According to one of Dr. Cahn’s patients, the answer is yes! This patient came in for treatment of back pain that had been bothering her. In the course of his examination, Dr. Cahn noticed swelling in her leg and questioned her about it. She said that her orthopedist indicated that this was normal after being in a cast for six weeks because of tearing her Achilles tendon. Dr. Cahn immediately sent her to the hospital suspecting that there was a deeper issue going on. Several hours later he received a call from this patient exclaiming that he had saved her life! She had several deep vein thrombosis that had traveled to her lungs, thus causing her back pain. Dr. Cahn could have simply treated her back pain, given her relief, and sent her on her way, but his philosophy of treating the whole patient literally saved her life and she continues to pursue her active and healthy lifestyle today.

Meet Dr. Aaron Guzik

While Dr. Guzik is originally from Pennsylvania, he considers himself a Coloradan, having received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2005. He went on to work in clinical research at the Division of Sleep Medicine at The Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, followed by cystic fibrosis research at Oregon Health and Sciences University/Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon in 2014.

Dr. Guzik owned and operated the successful Skull & Bones Chiropractic in Portland, Oregon and was the official chiropractor for the Portland Pickles baseball team for three seasons. Having roots and family in the Boulder area, Dr. Guzik jumped at the chance to join Dr. Cahn at Boulder Back Pain Clinic, raise his own family here, and serve the local community.

Under Dr. Guzik’s care and attention, people who have suffered from back pain for years are experiencing pain relief and increased mobility because of his careful attention to getting to the root cause and tailoring an individualized treatment plan that gets results quickly. Dr. Guzik’s patients rave about his empathetic ear and ability to make his patients feel heard. Dr. Guzik treats patients of all ages dealing primarily with problems of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems such as postural syndromes, disc herniation, sports injuries and rehabilitation, as well as extremity pains and strains.

A lifelong hockey player, Dr. Guzik currently plays with several local men's teams, and enjoys camping, riding bikes and motorcycles, cooking, spending time with his wife Marissa, and chasing his very active daughter and two dogs. In his rare moments of downtime, you may find him cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins (he still has a little Pennsylvania in him!).

Malana L.

I've been seeing Dr. Cahn for over 3 years now and love that he is relaxed, genuine, and personal.  He has helped resolve issues with my neck, low back, and hip. I go in for the treatment, but it's probably the great conversations we have that keep me coming back!

Mike D.

Dr. Guzik is awesome. He's knowledgeable, affable, and passionate about wellness. He has a natural, easygoing way with patients that will put you right at ease. I have only great things to say about this practice and Dr. Guzik!

Amy M.

Both Dr. Cahn and Dr. Guzik are highly knowledgeable and skilled in providing excellent care to their patients. They were instrumental in getting me through an injury to be able to compete competitively in triathlon this season. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing high level chiropractic care!
